Jim throws these wonderful bowls at his studio and gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona. The agave leaf design is first drawn in pencil onto the bowl, then a layer of wax is applied allowing the black background to resist glaze. Then he dips the bowl into silver glaze which adhered to the unwaxed leaves.
