People don’t often think of Lupines growing in the desert, but visit Arizona in April and may and you can see thousands of their purple flowers next to roadside. Based on these delightful flowers, these hand-thrown bowls are made using black stoneware. The flowers and stems are hand painted with vivid green and purple glaze while the black background is left unglazed creating a wonderful contrast in surface finishes.
